Dollar $tore Holiday Decorations

May the holiday season be joyful as we welcome in the new year by presenting gifts and delicacies to everyone who brightens our days and brings our families together as a congregation. #easydiy #ImYoursOnlineStore

Holidays, or should we say Holy Days, are for family and ceremonial customs that make sure the dead are never forgotten and that we greet our ancestors with respect and gratitude for watching over our lives. We participate in these seasonal customs that explain our family history and serve as a reminder to never forget our historical genealogy as a way to express our respect for our devoted pets, loved ones, and deceased ancestors. These straightforward home DIY projects can be finished with family members or a partner (perhaps on a morning or evening date). And we selected one project specifically for adopters of birds as pets in honor of our animal lovers. Our reptiles, air birds, and aquatic pets sometimes go unnoticed since cats and dogs receive such high priority. The youngsters will hold onto special, long-lasting memories of their origin stories, and they will have a purpose to support the physical worth of our daily/weekly routines we do and say as well as the customary language phrases & answers. Every action and custom has a strong history; thus, it is important for each generation to contribute rather than to receive and to avoid passing down traditions to younger generations. Without recognizing HOLY day customs and ceremonies, we (families) can easily go back several hundred years because it took millennia for traditions to develop and maintain their unique rites of passage into our contemporary existence. #Marshmellow #Happyholidays2022

· Large cookie tray

· Sticks for making holes (2" long and as thick as a drinking straw)

· Parchment paper

  1. Instructions

1. Pour 1/2 cup of cold water into a large bowl and sprinkle 2 Tbsps. of gelatin over the liquid.

2. Add 1/2 cup of boiling water and stir the mixture constantly until the gelatin has fully dissolved about 1-2 minutes.

3. Scoop 2.5 cups of bird seeds along with optional add-ins into the gelatin mixture and stir together until all the seeds are well coated.

4. Continue to stir until there is no liquid puddling at the bottom of the bowl. This should only take a few minutes.

7. Make a hole in the ornament using a stick (about the size of a drinking straw) about 1/2" down from the edge of the ornament.

8. Place the ornaments in a warm place to dry for 24 to 48 hours. Carefully flip, or put the ornament on its side so that the bottom can dry too.

9. Once the ornament feels dry, carefully press it out of the cookie cutter and remove the stick.

10. Pass a string through the hole of the ornament and hang it on a tree outside.

Cardboard Pinatas (Ginger Bread Man)

(Materials & Instructions) #diychristmas

· Cardboard

· Masking Tape

· Brown Crepe Paper

· Gumballs (Optional, If you are giving this piñata to a little kiddo, please use felt for the buttons instead of gumballs to avoid a choking hazard!)

· White School/Craft Glue

· Hot Glue

To put it all together, carefully bend the cardboard strips to fit the curves and bends of your gingerbread shape. Tape it to one gingerbread man cut out, then tape it to the other, leaving a flap if you want to fill it with candy or presents.
